Geschichte

Das Haus Montana und Haus Murmeli blicken auf eine über 100-jährige Geschichte zurück. Originally built in 1910 as a small shoemaker’s house, the Montana house was extended to its current size between 1928 and 1932. In 1932 the owner founded the shoe company Kandahar AG, which produced the high-quality Kandahar shoes in Mürren for over 30 years. Next door was the Murmeli house, a souvenir shop that was taken over by the Montana house in 1995. Today the Montana house and Murmeli house are run by the third generation of owners, offering business and living space as well as a unique mountain panorama.Room program Ground floor
