Sissach is located on the SBB line from Basel to Olten and is served twice an hour by the S3 line of the Regio S-Bahn to Basel or Olten and twice by the Interregio to Basel and Zurich or Olten-Luzern. The S9 line, which runs hourly via Läufelfingen to Olten, should not be forgotten.
Sissach is located on the main road that runs from the cantonal capital of Liestal via the Unterer Hauenstein to Olten. The municipality also has its own motorway junction on the A2.
