The settlement is connected to the wood chip power plant of Localnet Burgdorf and heats the apartments via underfloor heating. This power plant is heated with local wood, the “Oil of Emmental,” and the entire development is therefore almost CO2 neutral. Train
connections are available from the nearby Burgdorf-Steinhof station to Bern (without changing trains), Solothurn and Konolfingen-Thun.
