Planchouet is a charming hamlet in the countryside, nestled at an altitude of 1,500 meters, in the heart of the largest ski area in Switzerland. The 4 Vallées ski area offers a wide range of activities in the summer and winter, in an Alpine environment that is ideal for living.
Located in the municipality of Nendaz, in the center of the Valais, on a plateau overlooking the Rhone Valley and offering a magnificent panorama of the Alps, Planchouet combines charm and authenticity.
In the summer, it is the starting point for many walks along the 4 bisses that cross the municipality: the Vieux Bisse, the Vex Bisse, the Milieu Bisse and the En-Bas Bisse. You can also discover a magnificent wooden chapel, built in 1930 in the heart of the forest.
Planchouet is one of the 15 villages and hamlets in the municipality of Nendaz. Many facilities meet the needs of its population. The students are lucky to be able to complete their compulsory education in the municipality, from 1st to 11th grade.
The municipality of Nendaz is located in the middle of the Rhone Valley, on the left bank. Its vast territory is unique: it follows the contours of the valley of the same name and extends from the plain to the snow-capped peaks. Nendaz is crowned by magnificent peaks, such as the Rosablanche, which at 3,336 meters is the most beautiful Alpine viewpoint in the central Valais, or the Mont-Fort (3,330 meters).
