We plan to build two single-family homes here. One of them is only sold. The house is spacious and has a very nice orientation. Currently, the house is planned without a basement.

LUXURIOUS DREAM WOOD HOUSE MADE OF NORTHERN SPRUCE

The extension of the wooden house itself was comparatively easy and the simplest and quickest part of the entire planning and construction process: The wall elements, prefabricated to the right size in the factory, were delivered to the construction site on time and assembled by the manufacturer’s carpenters within a few days. ?We relied entirely on Fullwood and are delighted with how smoothly everything went,? says Cilgia Plate. Before the house was built, the couple first prepared the grounds and let the floating floor slab rest for half a year. After a short period of construction, the ?Chalet Cilgia? could then be moved in and everything was immediately beautiful and comfortable, even outside. ?For the interior fittings, we only used regional specialist companies – they are then quickly available if something should go wrong,? argues Joachim Plate.

THE BEST OF EVERYTHING
Only the latest building technology should be used in the wooden house, such as the locking system with chip key and number code control for the entrance door, and up to the latest security technology which even alerts the security company in advance when the pellet storage needs to be refilled. ?Everything has turned out wonderfully, and we feel completely at home and very safe in our house. The whole system is easy to operate from the inside, and all the rooms are easy to maintain. My main area of work is the large garden – gardening is a wonderful way to relax.?, the lady of the house enthuses. And because maintaining a large garden swimming pond would have been very laborious, the Plates decided to opt for two small, decorative swimming pools, as you would find in high-class hotels, between the terrace and the garden. The huge terrace that runs all around the house, and the driveway were paved uniformly with sand-lime brick from the local area, as they wanted to maintain the regional style.

DECENT WOOD HOUSE ARCHITECTURE WITHOUT ANY FRIVOLOUS DECORATION
Modern, bright and airy was the dream home that the Plate couple wanted, and they decided on a very generous, open living, dining and kitchen area with floor-to-ceiling windows all around, which let in plenty of daylight. They combined the light pine wood walls with white plastered stud walls and sand-colored floor tiles, crowned by a high, open roof structure with a slight slope. There is no chance of anything being cramped or confining. And despite the brightness and spaciousness, the sensual wood, which creates a healthy indoor climate, also creates a pleasant sense of security. The exterior of the angular-shaped bungalow is also smooth, bright and simple, and the roof, covered with dark brown clay tiles, gives it the necessary down-to-earth weight. Wooden window frames in the same warm, calm brown color break up the modern look and provide a harmonious contrast to the light pine wood. To ensure that the wood remains pleasantly bright for a long time, it was treated with UV protection on the inside and additionally painted with weather protection on the outside. The exterior paint used even contains a few white pigments to slightly lighten the pine tone, and it is purely a visual protection that prevents the wood from turning grey. It would not have been necessary for the life of the house. The angle of the bungalow opens wide to the southwest and forms the frame for a sheltered terrace that is bathed in sunlight. The long living, dining and kitchen area also benefits from the abundance of light, as does the study. In the adjacent bedroom, which is located in the eastern corner of the house and has floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, the morning sun wakes you up. The garage, which is skillfully positioned, provides welcome privacy for the private area consisting of the bedroom, bathroom and dressing room. A glazed corridor connects it to the living house, so that Joachim and Cilgia Plate can get from the car to the house in all weather conditions without getting wet. The garage is followed by the boiler room with the large pellet stove and the laundry room; and if it should become necessary in many years’ time, the building can be converted into a flat for caregivers. The triangular area between the house and the garage is skillfully used by the lady of the house to showcase her gardening talents – the view from the bathtub of this courtyard paradise is a delight for the eyes.

SENSE, FUNCTIONALITY & AESTHETIC PLEASURE
With a view to the future, the Plate couple planned their bungalow to be completely barrier-free, with wide doors and a shower that is easy to access for people in wheelchairs or with walking aids. There are no tripping hazards to prevent the transition from inside to outside and vice versa. Everything is easy to maintain and the window areas are easily accessible. The ?Chalet Cilgia? also places a high value on hospitality: a beautiful guest room with an adjoining, large guest bathroom is always available. It can be reached through a door from the hallway, which is separated from the kitchen by a cleverly designed room divider. This room divider, which is not quite as high as the ceiling, looks like a smooth wall with built-in pinewood shelves from the kitchen side, but in reality it is a spacious wardrobe with doors and a large mirror on the hallway side. Another door leads from the hallway to the necessary guest toilet, while the living area opens up straight ahead of the person entering the house without a door. The view can wander unhindered through the room to the roof beam and beyond to the outside. At the same time, you feel both inside and outside, protected and free. One door leads from the kitchen into the glazed entrance hall to the garage, from the dining area into the study and from the other end of the house from the sofa corner into the bedroom. This is followed by the bathroom and a large, walk-in wardrobe, which also has a large mirror. However, this mirror is not only for checking one’s appearance, but also conceals the cleverly hidden building services technology. Everything is perfectly thought out in the ?Chalet Cilgia?: the underfloor heating works well in both hot and cold weather, as it can be used not only for heating but also for cooling. The former hotel manager is mainly responsible for the exceptionally beautiful decorations and furnishings in the house. She has chosen and equipped everything with great attention to detail. ?Luckily, my husband and I have the same taste, which makes it easier to make decisions.? she beams. With so much agreement, a beautiful house is bound to result!
