Description
New building idea in a very beautiful location with a view of the countryside, a rare south-facing slope!
We have a model house in Wolfhalden since 2015. Contact
us for a separate appointment where we can discuss and calculate your house in peace. The price is calculated from the start with some self-construction.
We are planning to build two single-family homes here. The house is spacious and has a very good orientation. The house is currently planned without a basement.
Unique south-facing plot of land in the south. The climate here is tropical in the south. Mango, kiwi, persimmon, eucalyptus and more grow here...
Very healthy and comfortable living in a solid wood house. Unique and also modernly possible. Living on one floor is possible. The house is not fixed. It could also be another one. Most of the houses are developed together with our clients.
The room layout is one possibility.
Wall construction: single-shell, solid block-ply construction from polar pine, settlement-free wall construction guaranteed for over 40 years!
Heating: e.g. heat pump, underfloor heating
or as desired
Solid wood meets clear glass. Building with common sense.
The interior will not darken due to the applied UV protection.
LUXURIOUS DREAM WOOD HOUSE FROM NORTHERN PINE
The construction of the wooden house itself was relatively easy and the easiest and quickest part of the entire planning and construction process: The wall elements, which were precisely prefabricated in the factory, were delivered to the construction site on time and assembled by the manufacturer’s carpenters within a few days. ?We relied entirely on Fullwood and are thrilled with how smoothly everything went.?, says Cilgia Plate. Before building the house, the couple first prepared the landscaping and let the floating floor slab rest for half a year. After a short period of construction, ?Chalet Cilgia? could then be moved in and everything was immediately beautiful and comfortable, even outside. ?For the interior construction, we exclusively engaged regional specialist companies – they are then quickly available if something should go wrong.?, argues Joachim Plate.
THE BEST OF EVERYTHING
Only the latest building technology should be used in the wooden house, such as the locking system with chip key and number code control for the entrance door; all the way to modern security technology which even alerts the security company in advance if the pellet storage needs to be replenished. ?Everything has turned out wonderfully, and we feel completely at home and very safe in our house. The whole technology is easy to operate from the inside, and all the rooms are easy to maintain. My main area of work is the large garden – gardening is a wonderful way to relax.?, the lady of the house enthuses. And because maintaining a large garden swimming pond would have been very laborious, the Plates decided to opt for two small, decorative pool basins, like those found in high-class hotels, between the terrace and the garden. The huge terrace that runs all around the house, and the driveway, were uniformly paved with sandstone from the local area, as they wanted to preserve the regional style.
DECORATIVE WOODEN HOUSE ARCHITECTURE WITHOUT ANY FRIVOLOUS ELEMENTS
Modern, bright and airy is how the Plate couple wanted their dream house to be, and so they opted for a very spacious, open living-dining-cooking area with floor-to-ceiling windows all around, which let in plenty of daylight. They combined the light-colored pine wood walls with white plastered columns and sand-colored floor tiles, topped by a high, open roof structure with a slight slope. There is no chance of anything being cramped or confining. And despite the brightness and spaciousness, the sensual, healthy indoor climate created by the wood evokes a pleasant sense of security. The angular, rectangular bungalow is also smooth, bright and simple on the outside, and the roof, covered with dark brown clay tiles, gives it the necessary down-to-earth weight. Wooden window frames in the same warm, calm brown tone break up the modern look and provide a harmonious contrast to the light-colored pine wood. To ensure that the wood remains pleasantly light in color for a long time, it was treated with UV protection on the inside and additionally painted with weather protection on the outside. The exterior paint used even contains a few white pigments to slightly lighten the pine tone, and is purely an optical protection that preserves the wood from graying. It would not have been necessary for the life of the house. The angle of the bungalow opens wide to the southwest, forming the frame for a sheltered, sun-drenched terrace. The long living-dining-kitchen area and the study benefit from the abundance of light inside the house. In the adjoining bedroom, located in the eastern corner of the house and with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, the morning sun wakes you up. The garage, positioned with skill, provides welcome privacy for the private area of the house, which includes the bedroom, bathroom and dressing room. A glazed corridor connects the garage to the house, so that Joachim and Cilgia Plate can get to the house from the car in all weathers without getting their feet wet. The garage is followed by the boiler room with the large pellet stove and the laundry room; and if it should become necessary in many years’ time, the building can be converted into a flat for caregivers. The triangular area between the house and the garage is used by the lady of the house to showcase her gardening skills – the view from the bathtub into this courtyard paradise is a delight to the eye.
SENSE, FUNCTIONALITY & FUN IN THE BEAUTIFUL
With a view to old age, the Plate couple planned their bungalow to be completely barrier-free, with wide doors and a conveniently accessible shower that can be used by either walking or driving in. There are no tripping hazards to impede the transition from inside to outside and vice versa. Everything is easy to maintain and the window areas are easily accessible. Hospitality is also a top priority in the “Cilgia Chalet”: a beautiful guest room with an adjoining, large guest bathroom is always available. It can be reached through a door from the hallway, which is separated from the kitchen by a cleverly built room divider that appears from the kitchen side to be a smooth wall with built-in pine-plank shelves, but in reality it is a spacious wardrobe with doors and a large mirror on the hallway side. From the hallway, a further door leads to the necessary guest WC, while the living area opens up straight ahead of the person entering, without a door, and offers a view of the room all the way to the ridge beam, and beyond that, out into the open. You feel at the same time inside and outside, protected and free. One door leads from the kitchen into the glazed lock-up garage, another from the dining area into the study, and at the other end of the house, one from the sofa corner into the bedroom. This is followed by the bathroom and a large walk-in wardrobe, which also contains a large mirror. However, this is not only used to check one’s appearance, but also conceals the building’s technical equipment. Everything is perfectly thought out in the ?Chalet Cilgia?, as you can see. The underfloor heating works well in both hot and cold weather, as it can be used not only for heating but also for cooling. The former hotel manager is mainly responsible for the exceptionally beautiful decorations and furnishings in the house. She has chosen and equipped everything with great attention to detail. ?Luckily, my husband and I have the same taste, which makes it easier to make decisions.?, she beams. With so much agreement, a beautiful house is bound to result!
