The traditional-style building dates from 1753. The chalet is made of wooden beams and has a masonry base connected to the communal network in a separate system. The insulating windows and shutters are made of wood. The roof is covered with flat tiles with copper and zinc sheet metalwork. Renovation work is to be carried out in the short to medium term on the building envelope (in particular, repairing the wooden elements and insulating the roof). Inside, some of the equipment and coverings have been replaced (2015) or maintained, and the central heating system was installed in 2010. As with the exterior, renovation work is to be carried out, particularly in the southern annex and the lower ground floor. Heat is generated by an oil-fired boiler and distributed by radiators, and hot water is produced by an electric boiler. PVC tanks, 2 x 1,000 liters.
The individual chalet, designated as the main residence "La Pervenche," is located on the edge of the hamlet of "La Comballaz" in the upper part of the municipality of Ormont-Dessous, halfway between Sépey and the Col des Mosses, on the edge of the cantonal road. Services, shops, post office, administration and schools are available in Sépey, Diablerets and Leysin, within a 10-kilometer radius. The ski resorts are 2.5 km from Mosses, 12 km from Leysin and 13 km from Diablerets. The first shops are in Mosses or Sépey. Access to the various ski resorts with a single "Magic Pass" or "Alpes Vaudoises skipass" that covers the Villars-Gryon-Diablerets-Glacier 3000 and Leysin - les Mosses - la Lécherette ski resorts.
